Hi everyone. Jessica here writing to you from my bed because I am currently sick with the coronavirus. Getting it was very unexpected. Before getting infected with it, I thought it was over exaggerated. It is true that everyone experiences it differently. I dodged it for two full years before getting it and it all began with a cough and a headache.
I was randomly coughing for a couple days before waking up a few days later, in bed with my boyfriend of a year and a half, with an awful headache. After experiencing a headache for almost two days, I then experienced a fever, congestion, and nausea. The fever and the congestion are the hardest part. I have been experiencing the fever for a few days now. It comes and goes which is frustrating because it causes me to have no appetite. All I have been eating is soup and saltine crackers. To drink, Iced hibiscus tea and ginger ale.
With only being four days in, I am hoping to at least be able to celebrate New Years Eve. The hardest part besides being sick with it, is being stuck in quarantine away from seeing my boyfriend. I miss him everyday and even though I am somehow keeping myself entertained, it is still hard not being able to physically see him. I am just hoping the next 7 days go by quickly so that I can go back out into the world. It’s hard knowing that my world is on pause at the moment but everyone else’s worlds are still moving forward. The way I have been keeping myself entertained includes watching christmas movies, sex and the city, and project runway.
It took me four days of being sick to finally get my covid test results, saying I am positive. I am just hoping to recover quickly.
