For Cinco de Mayo, my boyfriend and I headed to Sol y Luna in Woodland Hills, California. We went with one of my boyfriend’s best friends and his girlfriend. Due to it being Cinco de Mayo, we did have to endure in the process of getting a table which took us a quick hour until we got a table.

First, we sat down inside the very authentic Mexican restaurant with a wall of sauces right behind our booth. Margaritas and tequila was all we needed to have an extra fun night. Strawberry Margaritas and Casamigos Resposado. We enjoyed talking, laughing and telling stories until my boyfriend put his foot in his mouth and brought up a situation with the friend that his girlfriend had no idea about. Awkwardness was nothing short at the dinner table. My boyfriend and I tried to justify the story but there was nothing we could do. Seeing her tear up was the hardest to watch. The situation was because he lied about somewhere he went and she didn’t know that he went there. This is a constant issue in their relationship. He has to lie to her where he is going and they can’t see eachother for multiple weeks at a time. It is tough to see. My boyfriend and I want them to both be happy but feel this is not helping their relationship.
